Closing date for receipt of entries March 31 2010.

Entries must be entirely the work of the entrant and must never  have been published in a book or anthology.

Poems can be on any subject and in any style, but must be no more than 50 lines in length. Poems exceeding 50 lines will still be considered, but will be read no further than 50 lines.

Poems may be simultaneously submitted to this and other competitions, or for consideration in a magazine, but  not for consideration for a book or anthology.

All poems submitted may be considered for publication in an anthology by Carmine Press.

The entry fee is £5.00 per up to three poems.

All entries must be in English.

No corrections can be made after receipt, nor fees refunded. Once submitted, entries cannot be withdrawn.

Entry receipt will be confirmed by email. Failure to receive confirmation does not indicate that you have not entered the competition, nor does it invalidate these terms and conditions.

The entrant is responsible for completing the submission process correctly and alerting Carmine Press to any problems they encounter. Carmine Press accepts no liability for poems not received due to a failure to follow the online instructions correctly, for which no refund will be made.

Prize winner(s) will be notified by email once judging is complete. Prize(s) will be disbursed via PayPal. Entrants must be contactable at the email address they provide at the time of judging. Winners who do not respond to email contact will still be pronounced winners but will forfeit their prize if they do not claim it within 30 days of the results being published on the website.

Worldwide copyright of each entry remains with the author, but Carmine Press will have the First Worldwide Anthology Rights to publish any submitted poem(s) in an anthology and Non-Exclusive Digital Rights to publish any entry on their website where it may remain  indefinitely. Authors whose entries are selected for publication will receive a complimentary copy of the anthology within 30 days of publication, subject to their providing a deliverable postable mailing address to Carmine Press.

The judges’ decision is final and no individual correspondence can be entered into. All deadlines, including the closing date, date of announcement, etc, may be postponed by Carmine Press without notice or consultation in order to ensure enough time to raise sufficient revenue to cover costs. Entry implies acceptance of all the terms and conditions.
