We will recommend a retail price point for your book which will afford you a minimum 45% discount on any copies you purchase for your own use or resale (equivalent to manufacturing cost plus handling), and 20% royalty on gross retail sales. You may set a different retail price point if you wish, though this may impact on your discount/royalty percentage.
We will submit your book details to our distribution network to enable it to be listed, ordered and sold worldwide. Amongst the sales channels we can access for you are: International distributors (Ingram, Baker & Taylor, Paperback Shop), British and European distributors (Gardners, Bertrams), US distributor NASCORP, Library suppliers (Blackwell, Coutts), Specialist distributors (Mallory International, STL) and major online booksellers (Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Adlibris.com, Book Depository, Eden Interactive). Your book will appear as ‘in stock’ to over 30,000 wholesalers, retailers and booksellers in over 100 countries, and available to order (with a stock availability time of 24 hours or less) to many others.
Royalties are payable quarterly (subject to minimum accumulated balance of £25) and are accompanied by a breakdown of sales report. Author purchases are subject to shipping charges from our print facilities to your delivery address, which are made at cost. Maintenance of ‘in print’ status is chargeable at £20 per year, the first year’s fee is included in the Pack price.
Data Input, Proof Read and Copy Editing service is included at the ‘Enhanced’ level for manuscripts up to 100,000 words in length. Longer manuscripts may be subject to an additional charge.
Diamond Newswire Announcement includes distribution of your professionally written press release to more than 250,000 subscribers through RSS, Mobile Network, eMediaWire, Yahoo! News and Topix, and made available to Google News plus targeted distribution to ten industry targets, five regional news feeds and two media digests. Distribution through the Associated Press to top US newspapers. You will also receive social media features on your release, and distribution of the release to an Opt-In Media Database of more than 35,000 journalists, and your release will be optimised to drive traffic to your Author Website.
We will send 10 advance copies of the book to reviewers. Please note that there is no guarantee that they will review your book. In the event that you receive positive reviews we can add these to the book cover at final galley stage if you wish.
Author website includes blog with RSS feed, shopping cart software allowing people to purchase your book directly from you via your site, web hosting and email. You will require a PayPal account to receive customer payments for the orders they place. You receive the orders and payments directly, and fulfil the orders directly from your Author Copy stock (or additional stocks you have in hand). There are no ongoing fees for your website or email for as long as your book remains ‘in print’.
Social marketing campaign setup includes: setup of promotional or fan page accounts on MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, Slideshare, Squidoo and ScribD; creation and posting of 4 blog articles and 2 additional press releases with initial distribution to web archives; creation of a 450-500 word full article and submission of it to 5 article repositories where it can be republished (with links to your website) by thousands of website owners and marketing professionals; Social Bookmarking with StumbleUpon, deli.cio.us, reddit, Furl and Spurl.net.
Professional Promo Pack includes 250 A6 full colour postcards, 500 full colour bookmarks, 500 full colour A5 flyers, 50 full colour A3 posters and 50 full colour business cards. An additional charge for shipping may apply for delivery outside the UK.
